Do my friends need to install anything?
No. You share one link. It opens in their browser, they type a name, and they see what’s next, where you’re staying and what they owe. Bookings and documents unlock once you approve them, with one tap from the join notification.
Is it really free?
Free is complete for a normal trip: unlimited trips, companions and expenses, the link, offline access in the app, email forwarding, the recap and full data export. Joining a trip, splitting, currency conversion, settle-up and exporting your data are never paywalled.
What does Pro add?
Collect (per-person amounts, due dates and polite automatic reminders), unlimited AI import and AI help, unlimited documents, a live calendar feed, formatted per-person reports, and shared benefits for everyone on your trip. Offline maps and live flight status arrive in March.
Does the trial charge my card?
There is no card. Your first dated trip gets Pro on us, from the day you set the dates until 3 days after the trip ends. When it ends, nothing is charged and nothing converts on its own.
What happens when there is no signal?
In the app, your itinerary, bookings, documents and expense entry all work offline, for free. Changes queue and sync when you are back. On the web, the trip is read-only while offline, so nothing you add can get lost.
How are exchange rates handled?
Add an expense in any of 160+ currencies. The rate is locked at that moment and shown with its source and time. You can override it with the rate from your card statement. Balances show in the trip currency and, if you like, your home currency too.
Is Saathi a bill splitter?
It is the trip around the money. Splits, settle-up and multi-currency are built in, but Saathi is not a bill splitter for flatmates, not a booking site, not a social feed and not an AI trip generator.
When can I use it?
Public launch is December 2026. Until then the existing app listing stays up while we rebuild it. We will not ship a feature half-finished, so some things in the table arrive switched off and turn on when they pass their tests.
What about my data?
No ads in your trip, no selling your data, no tracking cookies on companion pages. You can export everything as JSON or CSV at any time, free. See the privacy policy.
